Vessels and Wares Saturday Giveaway

Rose Lovely by Vessels and WaresOn her site, Vessels and Wares, Jeanette Zeis says simply, "I love making pots" and looking at her lovely little pots in pinks, blues, greens and yellows and I'm reminded of tulips in my garden, lined up in a row.

This little pot to the left is well-named "Rose Lovely" and has the same scalloped edge and decorative stamping that Jeanette repeats on many of her pieces which gives them a feeling of lacy delicacy. The pastel pinks, muted blues and yellows fit so well together you could mix and match her pieces and get a whole new effect altogetherWonky Vases at Vessels and Wares.

My favorite pieces in her shop are the "wonky" vases, pictured at right, which come in brown, pink, blue and green and make beautiful, artistic grouping by themselves but also have such possibilities. Maybe a few well-placed daisies or some spring branches sticking from the necks?

Also check out her delicate "sherbert" vases (a perfect name for that beautiful, soft glaze that drips like syrup) and sturdy wide pitchers which seem at home on a table set for lunch in a flower garden.

So if you're still with me, if you haven't zoomed off to take a look at her goods, I have here, courtesy of Vessels and Wares, the "Rose Lovely" pot you see above ready to give away. It's approximately three inches tall and three inches wide at the mouth, is dishwasher and microwave safe and can be used safely for food.

Here's how to win:

Before 12 am Monday go to the giveaway entry form on this page and enter your name and email. I will pick one of the names at random, contact the winner via their email and publish the winner's first name and home town in next Tuesday's post. See the bottom of the entry form for more details.

Sorry, but this giveaway is open to those with a U.S. address only.

I love the wonky ones! As I consider this, I realize that I think I like just about anything that describes itself as "wonky". Hehehe.

The Rose Lovely is indeed very lovely. I have a small collection of pottery, but nothing like that. It's quite extraordinary.
